Hotels, Resorts or Guesthouse?

There is no shortage of accommodation in Hua Hin. Guesthouses providing fan rooms for as less as 300 Baht per day or air-conditioned rooms from 400 Baht per day abound in and around Downtown Hua Hin. Also, well-decorated guesthouses could be your good choice for 750-1200 Baht.

Other 3 and 4 star hotels are also available. These are usually high-rise and are also in the city center. Prices range between 850 - 2000 Baht per day. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a swimming pool.

Five star hotels and resorts are all along the beachfront in the city center or just on the outskirts of the town. Prices range from 4000 - 7000 Bath for a standard room and are of an international standard providing all the facilities of a very high standard.

Hua Hin is also home to the Chiva Som Health Resort which has only been voted the best Spa resort in the world two years in a row. Recently, many condominiums have been converted into short and long term rentals and these are really good value for money if you are planning to stay longer.

During the High Season - November through to April, accommodation is usually hard to find and it is advisable to book well in advance specially during the weekends. The best deals can be had booking through a Travel agent or Tour Operator. Alternatively, you can search the Internet for Online Travel sites who offer good deals as well. During the summer months, the smaller guesthouses and hotels offer a good rate if you contact them directly depending on the length of your stay.?

The bigger hotels have special summer promotions and it is still advisable to book through Travel Agebts and Tour Operators to get the best deal.

One thing to remember though, Thailand has many holidays and being so close to Bangkok, the hotels and resorts usually get full and it may be difficult to find accommodation at short notice.
